CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE
We know that, one way or another, 2024 has been a very challenging year in some ways. For example, at Forbes Church, we have lost some friends and loved ones. In our Grande Prairie Community, there are similar losses, but many more people continue to struggle in their fight for a good and flourishing life. Around the world, there are still wars, unrest and political and economic chaos, and we witness the breaking down of societies. So, in some ways, we all need this service to reflect on many things.
In the service, we will read Scripture, light candles to remember, surrender and trust in the Lord, and sing songs. You can freely sing along or listen as we sing. We will also come together in prayer. It is okay to shed some tears, let your mind wander, and pause to spend time with God.
